The Truth Will Set You Free
"Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free," is inscribed on the main building at The University of Texas at Austin where I completed my undergraduate studies.
Truth is a foundation. It is constant. It is evergreen. Truth is always right. You can build your life on truth and flourish.
I followed my mother's footsteps into alcohol addiction. Alcohol was a way for me to hide from the truth. Have you heard the saying 'truth hurts'? Sometimes I does and I didn't want to live in the discomfort. So I would numb and hide. I asked God into my dark places and He restored the truth of His love, power and support in me.
When you get in the mess, which we all do again and again. If you look for the truth, you will find your freedom.
